ACCA students set to gain from 50 per cent fees reduction | MediaMax

The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) has launched new fees structure to encourage the youth to study finance. The new rate card, specific to students in Kenya, has reduced registration fees by 60 per cent and annual subscription fees by 50 per cent, making the course affordable.

Head of ACCA Kenya George Njari said they have prioritised accessibility and affordability to ensure that the product and price is right after listening to feedback, especially from students. The registration fee for new students is £32 (Sh5,000, using current exchange rates), while a one-year subscription for new students is £43 (Sh6, 721).

ACCA has also introduced a new pricing structure for its exemptions. By modifying its prices, the global professional body for accountants also believes that employers who take on ACCA students stand to benefit.

“This is good news for employers that already support and work with ACCA, offering our qualifications, and those that are considering working with us. The increased opportunities for students that the pricing structure offers will have a huge positive impact on organisations,” Njari said.
