Beijing Seen Conserving Water Due to Price Increase, Xinhua Says | Bloomberg

ph.logo.sublogos.news.white-ARTICLEResidents in Beijing, with a population of about 21 million, are expected to save 10 million cubic meters (353 million cubic feet) of water a year amid the pressure of rising water prices, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.

Daily household water use has dropped by 0.17 cubic meter, an average reduction of 2 liters (0.5 gallon) for each person, after a substantial water-price increase in May, Xinhua said, citing Beijing Waterworks Group.
