Medical Transport Co. Hit With Pricing Scheme Class Action | Law360

Law360, New York (September 15, 2015, 8:23 PM ET) — Emergency medical transport company Air Methods Corp. was hit with a $5 million proposed class action in South Carolina federal court Tuesday alleging it established an inflated pricing scheme and overcharged patients who needed to be airlifted to hospitals.

Colorado-based Air Methods and its affiliate Rocky Mountain Holdings LLC allegedly set up an inflated price scheme designed to overcharge patients needing emergency airlifting services to hospitals, plaintiff Joel Griffith alleges in the proposed class action.
