This Derby pub has been found hiking up the prices of pints when England are playing in the world cup.

Walkabout in Market Place, owned by Stonegate Pubs, is increasing its prices by up to 30p per drink.

The policy is thought to affect not only Derbyshire pubs but some Stonegate Pubs across the UK.

A spokesperson for Stonegate Pub Company said “Dynamic pricing takes place across many pubs, bars and entertainment venues, as well as the wider retail sector, at different times throughout the year when big events take place.

“Any increase in cost covers the additional requirements to ensure customers can get served quickly, remain safe and enjoy the occasion.
