OnDemand WTP Pricing Research

TPG has jumped on new NBN pricing and released its typical evening speeds | finder.com.au

When NBN Co announced its new NBN pricing strategy this morning, which is designed to get more consumers to switch to 50/20Mbps plans, it did so by dropping the access price that providers pay for those plans, with the expectation that ISPs would switch plan pricing around for consumers.

TPG is the first cab off the rank, announcing that its new NBN50 plans will be priced at $69.99 per month with unlimited data usage. If you had signed up yesterday, that same pricing would have only scored you a 25/5Mbps connection.

If you’re after a little more speed, TPG has also announced a new plan that effectively amounts to a price cut on its previously offered 100/40Mbps plans, with pricing at $89.99 where it was previously $99.99.
